There were two brothers who each inherited a field.
The first brother built a fence around his field. He measured it, weeded it, and walked its perimeter every morning to be sure no stone was out of place. He worked from dawn to dusk. But at night he could not sleep, because he was always afraid the fence had shifted an inch.
The second brother walked out into his field one morning and lay down in the grass. The sun warmed him. The wind moved through the wheat. He worked when there was work to do, and he rested when there was not. At night he slept.
Both brothers had the same field. Only one of them lived in it.
